The Write Stuff
Jane Austen. Shakespeare. Danielle Steel. Nurse Debbie.
Now, I’m not one to brag – but I just can’t sit on this news any longer. I want you to go out, swing by your local bookstore, and browse the (sure to be) bestsellers because – I am a published author!!!! My name. My words. My thoughts – on your bookshelves.
My buddy Joe and I realized that – since we spend all day gossiping with each other already, we might as well share the juicy details with all of you. We put together a little “He Said, She Said” manuscript about, what else? Those sex-crazed-surgery-hungry-too-good-looking-for-words Doctors at Seattle Grace.
We’re talking about way more than the blogs you guys read already – we included our IM conversations, our previously un-published behind-the-scenes observations – hell, I even threw in a few of the Surgery Floor’s Lunchtime Polls. My favorite? The poll asking everyone where their favorite place is to Get BUSY in the hospital!
Here’s a link if you’re interested.
And, as a first time Nurse-Turned-Publishing-Guru, I welcome any & all feedback from my loyal readers. Especially which parts of the book you liked the best, because – after all – who knows if there may be a sequel???
Will write more soon…
-Nurse / Published Author-ess Debbie
I saw this at the bookstore over the weekend and actually was wondering if it was just a compilation of the blogs or if it included more. I guess now I know!

Hey, "Deb" -- Just bought it last night and am loving it. Really cool book. But -- in all the gossip you had to stuff in there -- you put some stuff in the wrong order. Don't blame you, there's been a lotta stuff going on at SGH since the new interns arrived. But the "Joe Story" you had George write about himself -- it talked about how he dislocated his shoulder after having sex with Meredith. Only you put the Joe stories in the book a long while BEFORE the part where that night happened between them. With your nurse's workload it's understandable that you won't be perfect. But you might want to let the publisher know so they can fix it for future printings.

The error in Christina Yang's Resume drives me crazy! If Christina Yang were a real, flesh and blood person, she would NEVER have made that error on her resume, so why are the writers/creators of this show being so SLOPPY as to not carefully check the information that they list in the Character Bios?
It's COBOL, not COBALT, you idiots! COmmon Business Oriented Language - CO + B + O + L = COBOL, NOT "COBALT".
Please get the Computer Languages section of Christina Yang's Resume corrected!!!!

I sure wish this show was more accurate at what nurses do, than polling what the doctors do in free time... and what doctors do too, besides sleeping with each other all the time, and being solely responsible for patients doing things REAL doctors hardly ever do... sorry, just needed to vent.

Hey Debbie,
Nice to meet you. Can't believe it has taken me 2 years to catch up on the GOSSIP. I am looking forward to getting the book, I have both Seasons on DVD's, and just bought my best friend Season 2 for her b.d. (psst her hubby thinks we are absolutely ready for the Psych ward due to our obsession).
Will be back. Thanks for your eyes & ears. :)

Seriously!! can't wait to see whats up. missed the gang especially George, cute puppy dog face, hope he gets some more camera time. Love the suprizes. I was pacing the livingroom when Burk got shot! I have also lost a pair of black panties (although not as much drama about it), I can relate. Hope the writers keep it as fresh and exhilerating as last year.

I am so excited that I could pee myself!!! Literally! lol. I can't WAIT for tonight, oh goodness I am getting chills just thinking about it! You know how you know your show is the best on TV? EVERY FREAKIN PLACE I'VE WENT TODAY, people I didn't know asked me "Girl are you watching GA tonight? You KNOW it's the season premier!"

Did you know Addie washed the panties before she hung them..I mean SERIOUSLY...how nice was that?
Can't wait till you give the scoop on Miranda getting her toughness back, she has been pretty mushy the last while. Must be the hormones huh?
And Chief? OH MY GOD!!! He can't retire, yet his marriage isn't looking too
solid. So what is going to happen when they all come back to work?
Waiting for the scoop...
:)

Where did Addison find the panties?
Posted by: SL | September 22, 2006 at 06:27 PM
I think Addison found the panties in Derek's tux coat. Remember, he stayed all night prom night after the exam room encounter for a surgery! :) :o :)
