WHAT'S GOING ON?

Okay, weirdness going on with Meredith and Derek!!!  I hear they’re broken up.  THE WORD is they’re broken up.  So why, pray tell, are they still a couple?  “Still a couple” MEANING they’re talking hallways, still giving each other “the look.” You know the one.  The look that says “I want to ravish you, all night long.”  Does anyone remember that song by Lionel Richie?  Great song.

Nurse Olivia told me that Derek invited Meredith to lunch and she declined, ending the conversation with a request that they meet in the on-call room later (Note to self: Must change on-call room sheets after they leave and Purell my hands.)  When Meredith left, Derek had this look on his face.  Like, he wished that she said yes to lunch.  I think he wants more.  He’s that guy, you know?  That rare breed who is meant for one woman, and when he finds her, BAM, that’s it for him.   Hello out there in “men who only want one woman land???”  I’m here!   I’m READY!!  I would TOTALLY go to lunch AND the on-call room.  Honest.

I don’t know what’s going on with Meredith Grey these days.  I mean, her sister Lexie Grey is here.  And, okay the kid is slightly annoying and clumsy (IF SHE KNOCKS THE FILES OFF OF MY DESK ONE MORE TIME!)  But she seems kind and just wants to reach out to Meredith.  I don’t understand why Meredith won’t give her a chance?

Tons of excitement today!   Excitement mixed in with a bit o’ quiet.  And by quiet, I mean the hushed conversations between George and Izzie. WHAT IS GOING ON??? I’ll tell you what’s going on: SOMETHING IS GOING ON!! 

Let’s start off with what I observed today.  I’m at the nurse’s station minding my own business while competing for a toaster (Cristina brought all of her wedding gifts in to work. She seems to be in the process of moving on) that has eight slots not SIX slots, not FOUR slots, but EIGHT slots.  Do you know what this means????  This means, that when I have my next “Knit and Stitch it Bitches” brunch, we won’t have to wait for everyone’s bread to toast.  MEANING, no cold eggs, no meaningless conversation as we all wait for the last person’s bread to toast knowing that we don’t want to talk, we just want to eat and how rude would it be to start eating when there is one person still waiting for her bread to toast???? 

But, I digress.  Where was I?  Okay, so I’m minding my own business trying to eavesdrop on what George and Izzie are talking about when I see them suddenly NOSE TO NOSE!!  Huh?  Okay, HELLOOOO out on the floor, with a married GUY, nose to nose.  What is going on I ask you?  They were either having a really serious game of “stare down” OR some kissing was about to go down.  I choose the latter.   Wondering if these two were about to share a kiss IS killing me BUT what is really torturing me, is what was said.  What were they talking about? 

My question was later answered by Nurse Tyler (who snagged himself a waffle maker by the way GO TY TY!!) who overheard George telling Izzie that he must tell “her” the truth.  Okay, let’s recap people: hushed conversations in hallways, nose to nose action and finally, the realization that the truth must be told.  Well folks, I know what I’m thinking.  How about you?

You know, I like Callie.  Yeah, she screwed up big time today what with the dope-dealing family (I mean she actually LOST a baby YIKES, wouldn’t want to be her right now!) and she has NO control over her residents whatsoever.  Yet and still, as a PERSON, I like her and she loves George.  You just see it in her eyes; the way she looks at him when he’s not looking…I feel for her.  What do you do when you love someone and he doesn’t love you back?  You hurt.  And you hurt.  And in this hurt, you hope that the next day, will be a little less painful.  We’ve all been there ladies.  And if what I’m thinking is correct with George and Izzie….well, I just hope that she will eventually be okay…

Sorry to be so melancholy folks but there was this guy today…he was a victim in the meth-lab explosion and here is a man without a family.  He encouraged all of us to, if we can, seek true love.  Life, he believes is about family and love.  He really got me thinking.  So much so that tonight, when I go to Joe’s to play darts, I am wearing my polka dot sweater and matching scrunchie!!!  True love, here I come! Watch out!

I totally agree, Derek is THAT guy, I hope Meredith realizes that she needs to open up and let him in.. woah that sounded vaguely dirty.. but it wasnt meant to be. I hope they work this out, even though I am all for the hot, sizzling sex and the looks, I want some depth with our favorite couple!

To be honest, that hallway conversation with George and Izzie was the one part of the episode that had me really interested, I was hoping they were going to share a kiss, but no luck! I feel bad for Callie and all, but there sure was a lot of steam coming from both George and Izzie, lots and lots of steam.

George and Izzie were SO hot! Loved them. Don't really feel for Callie, there is something about her that turns me off. Alex had it coming with the guy but I loved how he took Bailey's lecture like a man. Poor little baby, having to lose his parents like that!
